The Struggle bus

As I write the winter sun is coming through my window, a welcome sight after a gray stretch of days, but I know those rays belie a warmer temperature than is the reality, I can hear the wind whooshing in the trees making them look like they are dancing at a rave, one that is precariously close to the roof of my house. Everyone loves to complain about winter weather. But there are times I love it like when its snowing in lovely fluffy flakes, today isn't one of those times, its just cold and the the words wind chill are very relevant. My thoughts while walking the dog this morning are as follows, Jesus it's *$#*&%* cold, this is terrible, okay were making this a short one, turning around now, please stop sniffing.

Winter walk under the stars one of the things I love about winter.

My thoughts about going to work at the farm are very similar to my thoughts while walking my dog on a cold windy day in January. I'm struggling with motivation and the elements are not helping. In the warmer months I don't really find it hard to get going. Working for yourself has its advantages, flexible work hours is one of them, but I have to admit setting your own schedule and goals is not one I would count as a plus. This time of year is always a struggle for me as far as mood goes, I think I low key suffer from SADS or seasonal depression disorder syndrome. Which by the way vitamin D helps! I like many people have some New years resolutions and some habits I'm hoping to kick in 2025 too. But its hard to get the ball rolling on those things when my energy is flagging and my body is craving dopamine and caffeine which I'm trying to ween myself off.

Okay so enough ranting and I have only decided to rant because people don't read blogs especially on e-commerce sights, so I feel safe making this a confessional of sorts! The futility of it all is maddening but I digress.

If you are struggling with motivation and you are feeling low in these winter months, if you think you've got a case of the SADS, I make a product that I really believe in and its probably one you haven't tried yet. I use it and when I'm consistent which I obviously struggle with, it helps. But come on its just not that hard to take a tincture, this one actually tastes pretty good cause I put honey and cardamom in it. Mood Lighting is a tincture composed of St. John's wort, ashwaghanda, tulsi and hemp. If your mood is dark and your bed feels like a place you never want to leave, this ones for you. If you are stressed and looking to calm down without turning to weed or alcohol, this could also help you there too. If you are just going through some stuff, stuck in a rut, and want take care of yourself a bit more, mood lightening for sure! I don't know if it will help everyone, what does? fresh air, exercise , meditation and drinking more water. But I'm not selling that, they are free and that's great and you already knew that... but if you want something herbal that will nudge you to hopefully do the other things that always help. I do think Mood lighting is a good fit. It's one sale right now, so no excuses just buy it and tell me what you think or don't just feel better. Note.. please check to make sure taking CBD or St. Johns wort doesn't interfere with other medications you are taking, they can be contraindicated or interfere with their efficacy. Also if you are clinically depressed this tincture will not be a good solution and you should not take it with other medications for depression or anxiety.

Now since its January and the highly motivated and strong willed of us are doing dry January or maybe no weed January (since more people say they consume pot than drink these days), kicking habits and the like, I would like to make a "salesy'' but well meaning PSA. CBD can help people who are struggling to kick a habit like smoking weed or cigarettes, by providing some relief from stress and the feeling of relaxation that drugs like alcohol, weed and nicotine provide us junky monkeys. I'm not saying it will cure addiction, people need real help and support for that. However Harvard published a report that said, "CBD can help lower cravings for tobacco and even heroin under certain conditions, according to some research in humans. Animal models of addiction suggest it may also help lessen cravings for other addictive substances such as alcohol, cannabis, opiates, and stimulants." Obviously if you have serious drug addiction this is not the source of information or help you should be seeking. But if you're having trouble staying on the wagon with your new years resolution to not drink or smoke, CBD extract might just help keep you on.  Taking CBD extract can help take the edge off without causing intoxication and its not addictive. Our extracts are also on sale right now so no excuses!

Okay thanks for reading, if in fact you actually did, congratulations on a very good attention span! I sincerely hope you found it useful and informative and maybe even mildly entertaining in the way that only an e-commerce site blog could be.

Lots of love to my site subscribers!

and if you're on the struggle bus these days, just know you are not alone! Feel free to leave a message and don't forget to call your friends they need the connection as much as you do.

Winter won't last forever, and remember most mammals are hibernating right now, cut yourself some slack and enjoy the slower pace if you can.
